Uganda police has commissioned the Regional Police Headquarters in East Kyoga.
The building was commissioned by AIGP Andrew Sorowen who represented IGP Okoth Ochola and warned police officers against corruption.
The building that costed 1.7b was constructed by Uganda Police Force construction unit and funded by Government of Uganda
The newly commisioned East Kyoga Police cells are equiped with showers and flash toilets unlike the others that have been using buckets.
The one floor house will accommodate over 30 different departments in the UPF’s East Kyoga.
ASP Habone Charles the project engineer who said the structure is the “first in the country across the region,” adding, “It’s aimed at improving the services of police to the people.”
