Daniel Adongo a Kenyan born rugby player was once a notable rugby superstar. He comes from Samia, Busia County. Today Daniel is a drug addict, vagabond and in a different ‘world.’
His downfall started when he fell in love with an American woman who was unfaithful. He wanted her out of his house but the woman sued him claiming he’d domestically violated her.
The son of Joe Adongo was heavily fined, locked out of his house in America and expelled from the team. Thereafter he sank into depression and turned to drugs and cult-like activities.
Daniel Adongo’s conduct went under scrutiny after a woman who lived with him told police she feared Daniel and did not want him to return to their residence in Fishers, Indiana.
However, the woman who called the police did not present any evidence about these incidents. In 2015, the police visited Adongo’s home twice to investigate potential domestic violence.
Adongo, who played as a linebacker, was dropped after the Colts released him. This hindered him from playing in the League again. The Colts gave no reason for the decision as coach Chuck Pagano refused to comment.
On December 10, 2015, police went to Adongo’s home after Dawn Monks, the victim’s friend, claimed she had received text messages from the woman reading “911” and “Help.”
Police said they went to the home, announced themselves, and broke in after their knocks went unanswered.
The woman agreed to speak to the police but kept a blanket, “completely covering her face and body”. Police noted that she had a bruise on her left eye, a large cut on her lip, and marks on her lower wrists.
Despite police applying some pressure, the woman would not say who lived with her or how she got hurt. She insisted that she “caused these marks to herself because she is crazy”, telling officers “everything was fine”.

Ms Monks would later explain to the police that the victim admitted to her that Adongo caused the marks.
According to Ms Monks’ account, Adongo had previously “kicked open the bathroom door, grabbed the woman by the throat and held her underwater in the bathtub. punched multiple holes in the walls and damaged appliances, the woman’s car, furniture, and cell phones”.
Hamilton County deputy prosecutor Amy Summerfield said in a statement that no charges would be filed and the case was closed.
Reports also indicate that on October 24, 2015, Adongo went to the Fishers Police Department where officers were speaking with the victim, saying he would not stay at the home that evening and was going to end the relationship.
The report stated that Adongo had an “open case” with the NFL and was limited on what he could say.
Currently, Daniel is still living in America.
