Kampala City Council Authority (KCCA) football club has made intentions to construct a mega stadium aimed at improving their facilities.
KCCA FC is one of the most successful clubs in the Uganda alongside SC Villa who are apparently the oldest football teams in the country.
It is due to their success off and on the game that they intend to complete and improve their MTN Omondi stadium in Lugogo.
Works have been undergoing at the stadium since the 2021-22 season.
The Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago said that they are aiming to have it completed by December this year.
“I am sure that even though it fails to be completed by December which was our target, we will have reached somewhere respectable then, Lukwago added.
Lukwagi also expressed his joy over the U20 team emerging victorious against Azam FC 1-0 in the same age category. KCCA’s senior team meanwhile also won the Nkurunziza Cup in Burundi.
