Moses Olemukan the Bukedea District LCV Chairperson was arrested on Wednesday by East Kyoga Police.
Olemukan appeared before Bukedea Grade One Magistrate, Juliana Kimono on Thursday morning. The popular LCV chairman especially among women of Bukedea has been remanded to Nakatunya Government Prison in Soroti City.
It is alleged that Olemukan and five others still at large while in Akunyuko Village in Bukedea District, with malice unlawfully killed Francis Opolot on December 25th, 2021.

Many residents in Bukedea have been describing Olemukan as a calm person who would never commit murder. Many of them are attributing his arrest as foul play from some of his Political rivals.
His arrest has left many questions unanswered. The locals of Bukedea district are not sure of the fate of the LCV and questions on who will be the next leader are already popping up.
Olemukan was not allowed to plead to the charge. This was because the Grade one court lacks the jurisdiction to hear capital offences.
Her worship Kimono then remanded Olemukan to Nakatunya Prisons’ in Soroti City until February 24, 2022, when he will reappear for the mention of his case.
Police have arrested so far seven suspects in connection to the murder of Francis Opolot.
